Watch WHY we're building this trail!

Building America's longest paved trail to empower rural Georgia.

The Georgia Hi-Lo Trail

Our Cycling Initiatives

Our plan is to create over 200 miles of continuous paved cycling connecting Athens and Savannah, Georgia by linking with the Firefly Trail.

An incredible annual ride with gravel and road options from Athens to Savannah, and the template for our future, dedicated trail, the Hi-Lo.

A non-profit effort to get kids in Georgia communities outside exploring the woods and trails – on a bicycle!

An initiative for cyclists,
for families,
and for Georgia.

Our vision is a single 250-mile paved paved cycling and walking path from Athens to Savannah.

1) Firefly Trail – begins in Athens and will end in Union Point, a distance of 39 miles when completed. Firefly Trail, Inc. began their work in 2007 and have been true “trail blazers” across small communities in Georgia.

2) Georgia Hi-Lo Trail – will connect to the Firefly Trail in Union Point and continue on to Savannah – a 211-mile stretch through rural Georgia.

“Every (successful) town seems to have a riverwalk, even if they don’t have a river.”
